Uncle Andrew, Auntie Suzie & the Manchester Marathon!!

This weekend the Manchester Marathon was upon us - all those months of hard work training for Mummy was all leading to this weekend. We headed down on the Saturday to spend time with Uncle Andrew & Auntie Suzie in Cheshire. It was the first time Mummy & Lori had seen their wonderful home and we had a great afternoon; playing with Hooper in the garden and watching the Grand National on the telly. We put a few bets on but didn't win much back - still, fun to watch!

Watching the National

Auntie Suzie's horse came in first!

We had a lovely evening chillaxing and enjoying the lovely pasta dish Uncle Andrew made, before settling down to watch BGT. Uncle Andrew & Auntie Suzie had saved us some late birthday presents which were lovely; a Mickey Mouse jumper for me and a George Harrison t-shirt for Lori! Thanks guys!! x

It was so lovely to sit on the sofa while Hooper curled up in my arms to go to sleep. Such a lovely doggie!

The next day we were up and ready early so we could head over to Manchester. Quick breakfast and off we went to make the 9am start. We made it with plenty of time and we gathered in the start area waiting for everyone to set off on the long 26.2 mile journey around Manchester! Lots of excited/nervous people there, including Mummy!

Can you spot Mummy? (bottom-right next to the Tardis!)

Even Bert & Ernie were running it!

While they were running, Daddy, Lori and I decided to hop on a tram and head into Manchester for a bite to eat. Here we are on a Manchester tram! Then we headed back, just in time to see Mummy come over the finish line!

Mummy finishing the marathon!

We found her in the finishing area!

We walked past some football ground on the way back to the hotel and since Mummy was exhausted after the run, we left her to have a snooze and explored Salford Quays a little bit.

Enjoying beautiful Salford Quays

Checking out the BBC and ITV buildings & studios in Media City!

Some familiar faces all round!

Across the bridge - the new set of Coronation Street!

The next day it was a beautiful morning so we persuaded Mummy to come out on a walk so we could grab a coffee and enjoy the nice day. We found a Costa right next to the BBC and whilst sat having a coffee we said hello to presenter Steph McGovern as she walked past us!

Mummy's medal for all her hard work! We're all so proud of her! Well done Mummy!! xx
