Celebrating Father's Day with my Daddy!

We were all really excited this morning because today is FATHER'S DAY! We got lots of lovely presents for him to open and we made sure we looked after him all day. As you can see we got him a card as well as some rather appropriate slippers, some nice t-shirts, and I hand painted a set of small canvases which, when arranged in a line, spells "I ♥ Daddy". I think that is his favourite present of all as he was really happy with it!

After breakfast we got ready and took Mickey our on an adventure walk along to Earsdon and back through the fields. On the way back Daddy explained Pooh sticks to me; where you drop sticks off a bridge into a river and then run to the other side to see whose stick passes under the bridge first. We didn't have sticks, and this was just a concrete tube channeling rain water along a ditch but we tried it with bits of weeds and the trickle of water brought the weeds through on the water! Lots of fun!

It was a lovely adventure walk but Mickey and I were shattered on the way back and had to stop a couple of times for a rest!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!! xx

Delighted with his slippers!
