Christmas Eve: trip to Alnwick Gardens & Christmas Movie!

It was finally Christmas Eve and to pass the time until bedtime we took the opportunity to meet up with Alice, Charlie, Finlay & Skye at Alnwick Gardens! The weather was cold but it was a beautiful sunny day, and the gardens looked amazing in the winter sun. All the Christmas decorations looked fantastic, and they even had an ice rink set up! It was great to see Alice & Charlie, and Finlay & Skye - Mampy was there too along with Charlie's dad, and their good friend Claire.

We had some drinks, and exchanged Christmas presents before hitting the ice! Great fun :-) Then we had lunch in the Tree House and walked over the Wobbly Bridges, before it was time to head home. Great day out!

Once we were home we made some Christmas snacks and settled down to watch one of our favourite Christmas movies - this Christmas we'd watched Elf, Deck the Halls (an unsung classic), How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and both The Snowman & The Snowman & the Snowdog. Now it was time for Home Alone!
