We fancied a day in town, and with Mummy away with work for two days it was left to Daddy to think up an exciting day. Armed with our Centre for Life tickets we jumped on the Metro and hurtled towards our region's capital, passing the time with some impromptu finger knitting!
First stop was something to eat - it was perilously close to lunch time and our tummies were rumbling. We checked out the Eldon Square food court and settled on PizzaStorm! Great pizzas and refillable drinks :-D
Afterwards we had a quick browse around Waterstones before getting back on the Metro to Central Station, and to the Centre for Life. There's more dinosaur stuff, and a new 4D motion ride: Dracula!! We also checked out some of the interactive brain study stuff, including one where I sat with a camera on me so Daddy could check my eye movements whilst asking me questions. There was also an interesting brainwave scanning booth which was fun!
We wrapped up our visit with an interesting show in the planetarium about our interconnected world; how we rely so much on satellites and things. Feeling a bit tired, we headed home; back on the Metro where we were reminded it's Halloween soon...
