Halloween party!

After a tense countdown the day was finally here, it was Halloween! I couldn't wait for it to get dark and as we decorated the house and put on our costumes the excitement was building. People started arriving around tea time and the spooky music began...

My costume: BAT WITCH!

The house was looking very spooky!

Complete with our pumpkin to keep ghosts away

Later we played Halloween games, and ate lots of donuts!

Spooky day out at Delaval Hall!

Two days to go until Halloween and there were some spooky doings up at Delaval Hall in Northumberland. We met nanna over there on a gloomy and slightly misty afternoon and set about on a ghoulish clue finding mission! We had to solve 13 clues and take letters from each answer to form a phrase. Not as easy as it sounded, and not without its heart stopping moments either!

After we solved all the puzzles nanna took us round the halls, over to the west wing and into the gardens. Such a lovely place and hard to imagine some of the old fashioned people in the paintings used to live here.

Looking around for clues, but who's that in the upstairs window...

Deep in the cold, dark cellars of the hall where no living person dare enter. Well, apart from me!

Is that something up there, nanna?

The living shall pass no further...

Outside we ventured into the fields to see the wonderfully crafted sheep sculptures before heading back in to the west wing to take in the artefacts. I also had a guided tour of the old church which was built at the time of William the Conqueror!

Here's a fun couple; Francis & Rhoda Delaval, who lived here in the 1700s.

Bit like a cyberman, only not as annoying.

But the scary stuff wasn't over - I was about to climb the stairs when I was stopped in my tracks!

And it looks like this lady had been stood up by her dinner guests. Poor lass.

Bread, casserole & hair braids

The weather's been downright miserable these past couple of days; damp, misty & rainy. Today Daddy took me swimming at Waves, before we returned home to enjoy some fish & chips and a film on Netflix. Later we made some cheese & onion bread and whilst Daddy's casserole was slow cooking, I decided to try out a new hair feature. What do you think?

Half terms holidays!!

Since mummy has to go to University Daddy's taken the week off to look after us, and we wasted no time in getting stuck in to some important jobs, and plenty fun!

We played Jenga, went to soft play, played with Mickey, had some dinner, and then played more Jenga! We also went to the shops to buy some toys & things to put in a Christmas shoebox for children who don't live in very nice places, and whom Santa can't visit. Good start to the half term!

Chilling' with my friend Evie Elliott!

It was the beginning of half term so my friend from school Evie Elliott came over and mummy took us to the pictures. We went to see Two By Two, which was ok, although we seemed to find more enjoyment from the hand dryers to be honest!

Making myself look nice for nanna

We were due to see nanna this weekend, and Uncle Andrew was in town! Meanwhile mummy took me to the hairdressers to get my hair cut. I went for a shorter cut this time, a sort of bob, and when straightened it gives me quite a different look I'm sure you'll agree!

Here's a 'during' and an 'after' pic:

Mummy's on TV!!

As we all settled down to watch Grand Designs we were delighted to see mummy make it on TV tonight. Well, a cartoon version anyway. Hope she got that flooded kitchen sorted out :-)
