KNOWSLEY SAFARI PARK!!!

The last leg of our brief but epic tour of British attractions, and what a fantastic way to finish off: Knowsley Safari Park in Liverpool! We arrived in the 'pool late on Monday night after our drive up from the south coast and after having a late bite to eat we got ourselves up and ready in the morning for breakfast, before making the short trip to the safari park. We showed our e-ticket and headed straight in to the drive-through! It was amazing!

We saw lions, walking around just a few feet from the car. We also saw emus, ostriches, rhinos, deer, reindeer, zebras and even baboons! Yes, Daddy was persuaded to take his car down the "car unfriendly" baboon route! It was exciting and a bit scary but no monkeys jumped on our car, and Daddy's car escaped unscathed! He was very happy with this!

After the safari we chilled in the 'walk around' area and went on a few rides; the carousel, the dodgems and we even saw a great sea lion show where three sea lions (one of them a really cute baby called Roger) performed tricks in exchange for fish and the occasional pat on the back. Lovely stuff.

Mummy took us to have our faces painted whilst a peacock strutted around on the roof - he plucked a feather out of his side and threw it to the ground. Lori picked it up and we took it home! Later we walked up to see the elephants and the giraffes before we had one last ice cream, and it was time to go home. The excitement was all too much in the end and before we'd even started on the relatively short journey back from Liverpool we were ready for our beds!

We've had such a great time on these four days it's kind of sad to be home, but we'll just have to plan more amazing adventures another time!

PEPPA PIG WORLD!!!

After a good night's sleep we had breakfast with Uncle Andy bit before long it was time to bid a fond farewell to all and head even further south to Paulton Park which is home of Peppa Pig!! They call it Peppa Pig World, but I know it's actually where Peppa Pig lives! And it was amazing!

We went on lots of great rides; Grandpa Pig's train, George's Dinosaur ride, and Peppa's Big Balloons, but the highlight of the day for me had to be actually MEETING PEPPA PIG!!! AND GEORGE! AND SUZIE SHEEP! AND ZOE ZEBRA! I couldn't believe it!

Later we went into Peppa's actual house and watched Peppa, George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig making pancakes. Most of them were stuck to the ceiling! Silly billies.

I picked up a pretty snazzy Peppa balloon of my own but both Lori and I had to admit defeat as we bade farewell to Peppa World and headed off in the car. We caught some well earned zeds during the journey to Liverpool ahead of our next big adventure tomorrow at Knowsley Safari Park...!

LEGOLAND!!!

After having arrived last night in Windsor and having had to endure the grown-ups having a few too many glasses of wine shall we say, we were up and ready and raring to go to Legoland! Auntie Sue lives about a mile from the place so we took a taxi and after the brief monsoon passed, we were on our way round all the exciting things to see & do!

We started off walking round mini town; an amazing collection of major city landmarks all beautifully rendered in Lego(TM). Incredible scenes, and I'm certain Daddy was almost crying with joy when he saw not only the original Wembley, but also the Angel of the North. Done in Lego.

After that quick tour of the world, we headed to Fire Rescue where we split into teams and had to drive a fire engine to a burning building before directing a hose at the flames. It wasn't a real burning building, but it was great fun - Lori, Sue & Lucas' team won but it was the taking part that counted.

We went on loads of rides after that; Viking River Splash, where we careered down in lots of fast water in a round boat. We got soaked but we didn't mind, although Daddy was lucky to cling on to his iPhone as the boat bumped and rattled along its route!!

Later we saw a fantastic acrobatic display called Pirates of Skeleton Bay which featured a battle with some pirates for the golden key which opened the treasure chest. There were people falling from the big lighthouse, acrobats and a big explosion. It was brilliant! I even had my picture taken with the main pirate lady who was protecting the treasure!

Later we went on Pirate Falls where we were in a small boat which went round a scary river before plunging really fast into the water! We got our picture taken for that one and had it put on to a wall of Lego! Lovely momento of the day!

Later I did some driving and even got my Lego driving licence! At my age! The humanity.

Later we took in a great 4D Lego movie before heading on to the scary Spinning Spider ride! Mummy was really scared of it spinning to fast, as well she might since there was a huge Lego spider above her head!

We went in a submarine to see lots of fish through the windows which was amazing, although Lori was a bit scared. Lori, don't tell anyone but it didn't really go underwater :) and we had a great photo taken where we poked our heads through a picture, and Lori and I did some panning for gold. We each won a cool Lego medal for our efforts! All in all, a truly magnificent day and we can't thanks Auntie Sue enough for the wonderful treat. It was great to see Auntie Sue & Lucas & we hope to see them at half term in October where we can take them on some cool adventures! x

Meeting our lovely new addition to the family, Harper Mae Jones!

Tonight we headed over to see Ross & Phili, and to see their new baby Harper Mae, born 28th July 2014 at 9.27am! She is absolutely gorgeous; so tiny, and so cute! Such soft hair, and she doesn't make a sound. Just lots of cute faces! We had a great time playing with Zach & Brook too, and not forgetting Hangelik the dog who is adorable! Hope to see them again before they head back to France!
