Lori's GCSE Results Day!

With this year's GCSEs exams cancelled and grades being decided based on teacher grading it was all a bit up in the air for Bad Barry. So, we were even more nervous, excited, worried all in equal measure as we awoke on the morning of results day. We eagerly awaited news from Lori, who had gone to the school to learn her fate. A text to Mummy with a smiley face gave us reassurance that all was good - or did it mean she was 'still smiling, despite...'?

Well, we needn't have worried because Lori's results were amazing! We were pleased to see her when she came to the garden and we had some presents for her! She has done amazingly well and got the following marks - A for English language, A* for textiles, A* for photography, C for maths, B for history, B for science and B for English literature.

Well done our Bazza Boozer!! xx

We headed over to the Red Lion for a bite to eat to celebrate!

Keeping a guard

The dogs always seem protective of us as well as each other - here, Buddy & Slinky are keeping a guard of me. x

Body boarding at Tynemouth

Little did we realise but as we arrived at Tynemouth beach it was apparent that the surf was well and truly up! Perfect conditions, and there were a good amount of people out in the sea but the most exciting news was that Daddy said he'd go in! Although the sea was busy there was still plenty of space for each group of people to be able to keep distance from others; we pitched up near to the old outdoor swimming pool and just as Daddy stuck the pink fishing net in to the ground we saw Nanna who came down the ramp to join us!

So much fun!

Lovely sight!

Even Daddy came in the sea!

Walk along Tynemouth Longsands to see Lori

We went for a walk along Longsands to meet Lori who got the Metro down. They ate fish & chips while I went on my body board in the sea! Was great to see Lori again! x

Lori enjoying time with Slinky!

Lori's going to stay at her dad's for a bit so she can start college, while Coronavirus still lingers - it was her last day before we took her up to Heaton and she wanted to enjoy some time with Stinkyman! x

Cullercoats bay for Bill's fish & chips!

Had a little trip out with Daddy to get fish & chips, and we settled on Cullercoats for the plaice to go! (sorry haha). The sun was blazing as we sat with our chips, fending off the giant seagulls. It was also fun watching the kids jumping off the piers, then the lifeguards telling them off. Haha.
The garage behind me in the first pic used to be Cullercoats Life Brigade Apparatus House and is a grade 2 listed building. We're so lucky to have all this fabulous coastline right on our doorstep.

Beehive yourself!

It was a nice afternoon of weather so we decided to head down to the Beehive pub nearby. It's been here since the 1700s, and has hardly changed a bit!

Visit to see Nanna Rhoda!

We enjoyed a lovely catch up with Nanna Rhoda outside her flat today - good to chat about everything that's going on, and share stories of how we're all doing.
