Whitley Bay beach!
We couldn't continue our tour of beaches really without going to our own Whitley Bay beach for a walk and a plodge! We had to watch out for the scattering of jellyfish we saw both in the sea and on the beach. Eek!

Jesmond Dene
We headed over to the Heaton Park end of Jesmond Dene to explore the water wheel & the water fall! So great to see these ancient features still in action, as it were! The water running through here is the Ouseburn, which continues though Newcastle and empties in to the Tyne just east of the Quayside.
It's just so lovely being able to travel a short distance to one of many great parks we have here and then get yourself lost for a couple of hours. Fab way to spend the summer holidays!
