Honeymoon holiday in the Lakes!

Just a few days after the excitement of the wedding and we were all off for our mini-break/honeymoon to the Lakes! Mummy's running group, the Saturday Fairies, sorted out a trip to Arnside as a wedding present, for us all to stay in a lovely apartment by the sea. We had an amazing time from start to finish!

Car is packed and off we go!

They decorated the place just for our arrival! So sweet :-)

Off in to the woods to the Fairy Steps

Navigating the steps was not easy!

But we managed it somehow!

Above, Mummy running along the promenade, and

Below, assessing the dangers of the seaside!

Quick coffee from Moochin' About before catching the train

The dogs enjoyed the train ride...

...and we enjoyed the word play in Ulverston - home of Stan Laurel of Laurel & Hardy!

Waiting for a train!

And waiting for a bus!

Before arriving in beautiful Cartmel!

Magical sticky toffee pudding from Cartmell!

Then a walk back to the train, via the village shop and through the race course!

Next day in Fell Foot we headed to the Parkrun which Mummy & Amy did!

And a pub lunch on the sea front before we headed home!

We had a fab time in Arnside!! x

Mummy & Daddy's Wedding!!

The day was finally here - the day Mummy & Daddy were going to get married! The night before Daddy had gone to stay with Nanna and Uncle Andrew so at our house we had a girls night! The adults had wine, whilst us little ones had pizza and pop! It was great fun as the excitement started to build. The day would prove to be as exciting as we imagined, with the ceremony in the planetarium, and the evening party in the main exhibition space with the giant moon exhibition!

The next day, it was the big day! We had our breakfast and while Mummy went & met Auntie Kirsty and Grandads Keith & Paul for the Parkrun, we got ready. We all headed into town to get our make-up done first at the Mac desk in Fenwick's before heading down to the Centre for Life to get ready and get our hair done. We have to thank the amazing Clare for doing our hair - she did an amazing job! Meanwhile, Daddy, Nanna, Andrew and all the guests were starting to arrive downstairs.

Guests were mingling, meanwhile we were putting the finishing touches to our outfits and hair, before making our way down to the planetarium.

Enjoy a sample of the wonderful photographs Nige took of the special day...

All the guests were seated and, as the bridal party entered the planetarium, I led the bridesmaids down the curved, outer aisle to the sound of David Bowie's "Life on Mars?" The planetarium looked incredible displaying a star-scape, and a giant planet Saturn! As the chorus kicked in, Grandad Paul walked Mummy down the aisle...

The ceremony was ace - Mummy was fighting the tears of happiness as they both said their vows and became husband & wife!

Husband & wife enjoying a time to reflect

Speeches & dinner - toast to the happy couple!

Cutting the cake + disco by the giant moon!

A wonderful climax to a wonderful day!
