Robots in Newcastle!

Today we went to the Centre for Life in Newcastle to see the robots! Really it was the Maker Faire which was a gathering of all sorts of clever science & technology types and a whole host of really interesting stalls giving interactive demonstrations. There were Daleks from Doctor Who as well as those white trooper chaps from Star Wars. Lori was able to try out some soldering and I even bumped into a chap who had the head of the bald man from the Gadget show, but the body of a Dyson. Strange, but interesting, fun day out!

Space Hoppers!

The night was light and the weather was good so Lori and I were engaging in space hopper races this evening. I'm not sure Daddy was so keen since he was due to cut the grass and we were doing a good job of flattening it all for him. Undeterred, I think we both won an equal number of races; in the first picture I take a breather to check out the moon. It was a lovely, sharp crescent.

Watching Mr Men cartoons

We hit a lull in the Disney Channel schedule where none of my favourites were on on so Daddy suggested this Mr Men video. Mr Topsy Turvy is a strange chap...

Back in time, to Beamish!

Since it was our holidays, Mummy, Lori and I took a trip to a local place where the people wear old clothes, the streets are cobbled and time has stood still since Victorian times. It was okay but we quickly got bored of Sunderland so we headed to Beamish for the afternoon. Great!

Here's me almost doing an "Alan Bradley from Coronation Street" with a tram, and later, Lori and I sample Victorian school life. I have to say, this is a funny looking iPad...

Going to the park!

It was Sunday, and it was getting late but undeterred we decided to head to the park up the street. I rode my bike whilst Mummy, Daddy and Lori walked with me. When we got there, I couldn't get enough of the swings!
